Why Support Gen44 and the DNC?

• The DNC is the political arm of the White House.

At the DNC, we have three main goals: to support the President’s agenda, build the national party’s infrastructure, and elect Democrats at all levels of government. We are working hard to support the President as he enacts an ambitious agenda that is getting our economy moving again and changing the way things in Washington get done. By helping the President succeed, we know we are helping Democratic candidates and Democratic leaders in every state. The 2010 elections are an important chapter in our continued efforts to build a better America. We work closely with the DSCC, DCCC, DGA, and other Democratic groups to get Democrats elected at all levels of government.

One of our primary focuses at the DNC is helping to fight back against attacks from the right. We think it’s important to get the truth out about what Republicans really stand for- which is Wall Street, not Main Street.

• The DNC thinks nationally and acts locally.

The DNC is committed to supporting Democrats at every level in all 50 states. Building on the successful 50-state strategy and utilizing the talent and strategies developed during the Obama For America Campaign, Organizing for America was born. Organizing for America (OFA) is the grassroots project of the Democratic National Committee dedicated to building support for President Obama’s agenda for change. OFA’s network of volunteers and staff is actively working at the grassroots level in all 50 states to promote the President’s proposals to strengthen America’s middle class by creating jobs, passing health insurance reform, building a clean energy economy, improving education, and reining in the excesses of Wall Street. OFA is actively involved in electing allies the President can count on in Congress to pass his agenda.

• The DNC is creating a long-term infrastructure for positive change.

Throughout the last year, the Democratic National Committee has made long-term investments to grow the Democratic Party in all 50 states. We work closely with Democratic state parties and committees, Organizing for America, campaigns, and Democratic activists. Thanks to our investments and work on the ground, we are in strong shape going into the November elections and will mount an aggressive effort in campaigns across the company. There is no doubt there will be many tough races, but the infrastructure we have in place has put us in a strong position heading towards November.
